The mystery of the golden sauce concludes this week but coming soon events from the movie Surprise Future will certainly change the face of this show.  For now though things are a bit normal for Drive so let's see that normalcy in "Why does the devil seek out evolution?".  Picking up where we last left off Kiriko finds Buckle in the forest separated from Tomari and the two move to find him.  Tomari meanwhile is ready to fight Heart but the leader of the Roidmudes calls off the fight due to the two of them being injured and Tomari is minus Buckle.  Heart goes on to explain how they want to rule over humanity and they will achieve this one day.  Heart says that he is not evil and Tomari compares him to Chase in how unique he is among the Roidmudes.  Heart heads off towards Medic while Tomari catches a lucky break today.  Heart passes right by Medic without acknowledging her.  Back at the squad room Rinna and Chief recap the case for those not paying attention or just hopping in this week.  Tomari wonders about Hearts words back in The Pit and after checking in with Buckle refocuses on the case at hand.

          Medic gets to abuse Brain some more after he teases her about Heart and we cut over to Supreme as Tomari arrives with lunch for the crew.  Kiriko, Chase and Otta are stacking out the place waiting for someone to make a move.  We see the Cook Roidmude fixing up another bottle of the golden sauce but ends up intercepted by Tomari in Type Technique form.  Tomari uses a combination of Tire Changes and Type Changes to finally separate the Roidmude from its human partner and we see just who is behind these incidents.  Okumura is revealed to be the human half of the Fusion while Miho is the Roidmude in disguise.  Okumura wants to defend the Roidmude and prevent her destruction so he can continue to experience a new level of taste due to the fusion.  Itagaki is on scene to blast his mentor but the words fall on deaf ears as Cook reforms once more.  Chase protects the kid and heads off after Cook while Tomari checks in on the young chef.  Chase is quickly cut off by Medic and two Reaper units but Tomari arrives in Type Formula to back him up.  Medic evolves Cook to give him a little extra punch.  Chase and Tomari are struggling and while Gou is on site to help Banno tells him to stand down.  Gou will hear none of this and heads in to take on Medic himself in Dead Heat form.  Gou gives his signature phrase and we see that the Gou from way back when is back sort of.

          The battle spills out into the local rock quarry as big fights like this tend to do.  Gou manages to get a hold of the bottle of secret sauce in his tussle with Medic but quickly losses it as she tosses him away.  The two sides regroup and Tomari goes Tridoron while Gou goes Dead Heat Burst Mode.  The three Riders manage to tip the odds in their favor and with some help from Buckle Tomari sets up the finish on Cook.  Chase and Gou finish off the Reaper units with a combo finisher while Tomari uses the Formula Cannon to destroy 090 and arrest Okumura.  The bottle is destroyed in the process and Medic is distraught over losing her one chance of winning Heart back. Gou takes this chance to take Max Flare and Tire Change to initiate a fiery Rider Kick to finish off Medic but Tomari blocks the shot saying he will fight the Roidmudes on equal terms and in a way pay Heart back for his actions earlier in the episode.  Heart arrives at the scene of the battle to talk to Medic.  The two reconcile and Medic promises to never sacrifice their comrades.  This action leads to Heart gaining his Ultimate Evolution and he unleashes the power he now holds.  The Riders are forced to retreat for now and we find out from Heart that only two more Roidmudes are needed to reach the Promised Number.  Banno reveals himself a bit to ensure the Riders escape and we end off with a little tease for Surprise Future as Buckle human form Krim is seen overlooking the events that have transpired and echoes what Nira said only a few episodes ago and he has his own Drive Driver.  An additional scene plays where we see Tomari Eiji sends a message from twenty years in the future saying that shit is fucked and Krim is leading the Roidmudes and is extremely evil.

          The ramp up to Surprise Future starts here and I can't wait to read about what happened in the movie and see just how far they are willing to go with the events of the movie impacting the show.  Something like this has not happened since W and I am really excited to see the build up and fallout of this movie and then wait six months to see the events themselves.  Besides that this episode gives us a evolved Heart and sets the stage for him to make big moves against Tomari and the rest of the Drive crew.  The twist with the crew was neat as I was totally expecting the two assistants being the fusion.  Tomari might come to regret his decision to stop Gou in the coming weeks and I am curious if that will play into his motives.  Overall this was a good episodes with great teases for Surprise Future.  Next week Chase wants to get a Driver's License because reasons and Banno finally reveals his existence to the team.
