We are drawing closer to the finale of Drive and this week promises to keep up the pace set by last week's episode.  So let's see what happened in "Why must they fight?".  We kick off with Rinna and Otta taking out the power for the shield and having a little moment between the two.  We cut away to Gou finding out Chase's sacrifice did little to stop Banno as he remains unharmed.  He casually kicks around what pieces remain of the fallen Rider and Gou is furious that Banno continues to belittle his partner.  Gou goes Mach to try to take Banno down but only finds himself out matched  by the golden Drive's power.  Kiriko meanwhile is making her way to the battle and is getting drenched in the process.  Gou finding himself outmatched decides to do something a bit crazy.  He inserts the Chaser Signal Bike into his driver and becomes Chaser Mach, a fusion of the two suits.  The speed and power is simply too much for Banno to keep up with and Gou easily takes the advantage in the fight even with the injuries he has sustained.  Banno tries his freeze technique but the appearance of Chase's Viral Cores break Mach free and he takes back the Signal Axe and Zerin Shooter.  With the two weapons the daredevil Rider forces a clash of Rider Kicks.  The two put everything they have into their shots but Gou isn't alone in this fight and Banno falls once and for all as the Roidmude body is destroyed. 

          Kiriko arrives just as the battle concludes and is informed of Chase death.  She is heartbroken to find out her friend is gone.  Back with Tomari and the remaining executives the three manage to beat the Reapers but Medic is unable to save the cores as her healing of Roidmudes seems to not be working.  Heart stills wishes to settle things with Tomari after this is all over and Tomari gets a call from Kiriko informing him of Chase's death.  Tomari vows to end this once and for all and after informing the pair of Chase's death the three head out to take down the Sigma Circular.  Unfortunately those plans are having to be rushed as the Second Global Freeze is starting and even with Shift Cars Kiriko is caught in the effect.  Banno reveals that Sigma Circular will continue on without him no matter what.  Medic also can't handle the pressure created by the Global Freeze and she tells the others to go on without her for now.  Meanwhile Gou decides to end Banno off in the only way he can with the Signal Axes finisher.  The Dark Drive Driver is destroyed and Banno is finally dead for good and Gou hands off Shift Dead Heat so she can go help Tomari since he is too injured to help at the moment.  She heads off while Tomari and Heart confront the semi sentient Sigma Circular.  It is powerful and is easily able to keep the pair in check.  The two are outmatched and we see the digitization process beginning as people are given their numbers and digitized.  The pair decide to risk it all on the pair striking at the same time with all they have.  The try their best but with Heart injured by Circular Tomari goes for a early Rider Kick and the pair are simply tossed around with Tomari dropped out of Type Tridoron.  Sigma powers up an attack to execute the Rider but Medic ends up discarding her body to make it to Tomari to heal him.  Medic fades away in Tomari's arms and Heart and Tomari are levied that one more life has to be sacrificed.  Tomari goes Tridoron now sporting a white glow and Tomari declares that you will see what happens when he goes into OverDrive we end with this declaration.

          Hot damn Drive keeps up the momentum and sets up a huge finale as we finally get to see what I assume is the Over Tridoron we know to be in the Drive Driver.  Chaser Mach while a kit bashed suit make a fantastic impression for me and I love that while Mach can't get an entirely new suit for himself he will get some of the most powerful suits none the less.  It is a shame the Mass Mach suit will be unused for the rest of the show let's hope that it gets used in the Movie War movie to come later this year.  Medic pays the ultimate price to give Tomari and Heart the edge they need to win and while some may have a problem with her dying in Heart's arms I feel it will add to the fight to come next week.  Gou gets to have the spotlight for half the episode and owns it with him finally calling Chase his friend.  Overall This was a fantastic episode that sets up a huge finale and promises two great fights to come.  Next week Tomari and Heart fight to save humanity from Banno's plans and then must settle things themselves as they go head to head as we say farewell to the S.C.U..
