The weeks continue to wind down as we get closer to the end of Kamen Rider Gaim but what is in store for us this week let's find out with episode frothy-one "Showdown with the Overlord King!"  We kick things off with Sagara asking Mai if Kouta would truly sacrifice himself for the world.  Mai says yes and he leaves to continue his observation.   We check back in with Kaito as he continues his fight with Micchy.  The two eventually the two cause each other to dehenshin and throw wild punches in order to win.  Kaito continues to get under Micchy's skin with comments about his need for a doll in the form of Mai.  He can only tell him to shut up and has little to tell him otherwise.  Sengoku interrupts to tell Kouta and Kaito where Mai is and heads off himself to get the front row seat to the action to come. 

          Back from the opening Micchy is delayed by the Nutastic Duo of Pierre and Jono who have survived their fight with the horde of Inves.  Kaito thanks them and heads off.  Micchy is not pleased that the comic relief is delaying him and henshins to fight them off.  Kaito finds Kouta and after confirming Kouta found his resolve the two head off.  With Roshuo he confesses to Mai he took the fruit to save his people but failed.  He has lost everything in his quest and now will ensure humanity will be consumed by Helheim since they are no different.  Mai tells him he didn't truly fail since he at least tried.  He gives the Forbidden Fruit to her and sends her back to Zawame through a portal.  He then prepares himself for what he calls his last duty to his people.  Back with our Duo they manage to hit Micchy with a Acorn Sparking tag team attack to get away themselves since their job is done.  Redyue arrives to tell Micchy that leaving Mai with Roshuo was a mistake since he could take a interest in her.  With some taunting from Takatora he leaves to get Mai while Redyue prepares himself for one final play. 

          Kouta and Kaito arrive to get Mai only to find Roshuo waiting for them.  He begins to fight the pair to see if they are worthy of the fruit.  The two go Kachidoki and Lemon Energy respectfully while Sengoku watches in the shadows.  The two are simply out matched and can't even touched the king of the Overlords.  Kouta is eventually knocked out while Kaito goes for a Lemon Energy Sparking Kick to open up a chance.  He is knocked away and dehenshin.  He is in a lot of pain from his wound which prevents him for reentering the fight.  Kouta gets back up to defend his friend and only gets a ass whopping for his trouble.  Roshuo taunts him about the Kiwami Lockseed before creating an army of Inves to fight Kouta.  He asks Kouta if he has the resolve to shoulder the power which Kouta responds by going Kiwami after taking a beating from the Inves.  The transformation causes this to once again become a one on one fight but Roshuo strikes the belt and destroys the Kachidoki Lockseed canceling the transformation.  The two riders can only watch as Redyue arrives to take the fruit for himself.  A shot from behind allows the traitor access to the fruit except it rots away in his hands since Roshuo gave the one for humanity away.  Redyue mercilessly beats Roshuo to a pulp before Kouta stands up and repairs Kachidoki with his Overlord powers.  Kouta continues this by summoning the Helheim Plants to his aid and takes up Roshuo's sword to drive Redyue back on his heels.  With a Orange Charge from the DJ Gun Redyue is destroyed and the Overlords are no more.  Micchy is nearby and he along with Sengoku realize where the fruit is now which we see is starting to affect Mai as she arrives at Gaim HQ and flashes one red eye much like her mysterious counterpart.  Sagara arrives at the battlefield to bookend the episode by seeing off the king and queen as they pass away reunited once more in the afterlife.  We end with the queen asking Sagara if humanity will be alright and can only say it is up to them now to save themselves. 

          This week was a big surprise to many as the antagonistic force for at least a third of this show is now completely gone and now the question is what comes next.  Kouta shows his resolve and his continuing evolution into a Overlord himself.  Kaito shows his desire to gain the fruit for himself but we are left to wonder if he will eventually become a foe Kouta must fight.  Mai gets to become the one everybody is going to be trying to get now and I wonder how much she will actually get to do now.  The Overlords get a quick but satisfying send off as Roshuo tests our two main heroes and Redyue fails to obtain what he has been after for so long.  The Nutastic Duo survive and hopefully will continue to be a presence in the show.  Micchy continues his decent into madness and now losses his partner in crime.  He will gain something else next week and I will leave theories on that for TGSR.  Overall a great episode that will be one of the definitive episodes of this show by the end.  Next week Mai is taken by Micchy and Sengoku for study, Kaito and Kouta fight to get her back, and Micchy bets his life on one Lockseed Yomi, the Lockseed from Hell itself.
